J. Strupat Technologies (JST) Ltd. was incorporated in 1999. Since then, we have provided superior service to our customers and have assisted them in achieving their goals. Our years of experience and commitment to excellence have earned us a strong reputation in manufacturing and contract product development. We have recently (July 2005) expanded our business to providing specialized services and equipment to Canadian veterinarians.
The President of JST is John P. Strupat. John is a graduate of both Fanshawe College and the University of Western Ontario, in London ON. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist, then Research Associate at the Department of Anesthesia at UWO under Prof. W.F. Spoerel and Dr. R. Knill. This was followed by several years in Cardiac Investigation and Biomedical Engineering at the London Health Sciences Center.
John then left the clinical world to become the Manager of Electronic Product Development at Trudell Medical for 12 years. Trudell was the ideal incubator for product ideas and to gain expertise in all aspects of medical product design, manufacturing and field support. With his designs, Trudell was then an OEM supplier of medical electronics to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers worldwide. The CM5000 APM was reborn under the Respironics Inc. label, sales of the Monaghan CM7000 Central Station were exploding at chronic hospitals in the US and a major pharmaceutical customer wanted a fresh new sales tool that became the AeroTrainer MDI training device (US Patent 6,358,058).
At that time, Trudell was an exciting workplace with site inspections from the FDA and the Health Protection Branch and the push to obtain ISO9001 registration in record time.
JST was launched in 1999 with the development and manufacturing of the JST5000 Ignition Tester for STIHL Canada. Now on it’s 3rd generation, the JST5001 has been exported to STIHL service shops worldwide. JST offers consulting and contract development services to other companies in the medical, industrial and consumer markets. Local customers include Trojan Technologies, O-TWO Systems and Car-San Manufacturing. We continue to have particular interest in breathing system design and testing. An innovative portable electric ventilator prototype is being bench tested now.
